What is the IFEC bilingual chiropractic programme?

The IFEC bilingual programme is a 5 or 6-year chiropractic course, offered in both English and French, starting in September 2025 at IFEC-Paris. During the first three years, courses are taught in English with simultaneous French translation when needed, and students take French language classes to prepare for clinical internships in the fourth year.

What degrees can I obtain upon completing the programme?

After 5 years, students receive the IFEC Degree in Chiropractic, which is recognised by the French Ministry of Health and accredited by the European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE). Students who opt for a 6th year can earn a dual degree, which includes a Master of Science in Interprofessional Spine Care from the University of Brussels or a Master of Science in Physical Activity, Exercise, and Health from the University of Paris-Saclay.

Is the chiropractor degree awarded by IFEC recognized abroad?

The chiropractor degree awarded by IFEC is also accredited by an international agency: the ECCE, European Council on Chiropractic Education. With the IFEC degree, many chiropractors establish practices abroad, depending on the regulations in each country.

Is it a full-time programme?

The programme is full-time, over 5 years, with 5,000 hours of courses, amounting to 300 ECTS credits, and 85 teaching units spread across 9 fields.

What are the main subjects?

The main areas of knowledge to acquire are anatomy, medical imaging, medical semiology (pathologies), patient examination, the study of manual chiropractic techniques, human sciences, research, and clinical practice.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old by the end of the year of entry and hold a high school diploma that qualifies them for university studies by September 2025. Proficiency in English is required, with standardised language tests such as TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS for non-native speakers.

What is the application process like?

Applications open in December 2024. Candidates must fill out an online form, pay the application fee, and submit required documents like a CV, cover letter, and copies of diplomas. After reviewing the applications, selected candidates will be invited to participate in a remote Assessment Day, including online tests and an individual interview.

What are the tuition fees for the programme?

Tuition fees for the chiropractic programme range from €10,400 to €10,500 per year. For those who choose the 6-year dual degree option, additional fees are required for the partner university.

Are there internships during the programme?

The programme includes multiple internships, notably a 15-month clinical internship in the fourth and fifth years at the IFEC Chiropractic Clinic in Paris or at a student clinic in Ghent, Belgium. Additional hospital and clinical internships are part of the curriculum throughout the programme.

The IFEC-Paris campus is located near PARIS Orly Airport and major train stations. The campus includes modern facilities such as two amphitheatres, four practice rooms, and a chiropractic clinic with 27 treatment rooms.
